Was she outed as the real architect behind the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan, or do I need to submit myself for re-education because I'm sure both events occurred under a Labour government?
I don't agree with every line I post here. In the quotes block I try and pick out thought-provoking stuff, not stuff I think is necessarily correct. (See Greg Craven's rant in latest post - I don't agree with a lot of what he's saying.) In this case, I just liked the idea of Mozaz making up for missing the "Thatcher's dead" street party (I'm sure you picked up that the comment is someone else's, not mine.) In sheer numbers of foreign dead, Blair surely wins - though they both seem to have something of a soft spot for dictators.
It's like that Bandler line about reacting to people in your past as much as your present. It triggered anger because this narrative is particularly aggravating. Had some arguments recently with Labour activists and am sick of their collective denial of Labour's responsibility for Iraq and Afghanistan. It's as if it never happened (is still happening). I still meet people who hate Thatcher because of the Belgrano ffs.
Years ago, I heard a news report: "The NRC has reported a potential meltdown at 3-Mile Island ... repeat ... The NRC has reported a potential meltdown at 3-Mile Island. Now a break for this commercial message." That's when I learned what we will do when Armageddon comes. Guardian comment

Huh?
Thatcher was a "mass fuckin murderer"?

Fair enough. It's like that

Just had a Thatcher quote
Just had a Thatcher quote come up, as it happens: "Economics are the method - the object is to change the soul." Not sure I approve of that!
